Whonnock Weavers and Spinners Open House and Annual Sale at Whonnock Lake Centre
The Whonnock Weavers and Spinners Guild hosts an annual exhibition and sale at Whonnock Lake Centre. Handcrafted items made by guild members are displayed for exhibit and sale. The annual Open House also invites select guest artists and usually includes handmade pottery, beautiful glass, and striking woodwork. This is a juried sale. Patrons can expect beautiful handcrafted quality pieces.
The Whonnock Weavers and Spinners Open House and Annual Exhibit is held at beautiful and picturesque Whonnock Lake Centre in the main hall. The sale display is co-ordinated in a striking and imaginative way each year. Be sure to visit the stage display to the left as you enter the main hall. Each year has a themed stage display. This years theme was "Outside the Loom and Wheel" and focused on interests of Whonnock Weavers and Spinners Guild members outside of fibre arts.
And while you are at open house, be sure to enjoy a tea or coffee and home made cookies by donation.
Funds generated by the annual Open House help subsidize guild workshops and projects throughout the year.
This year was the 33rd annual Exhibit and Sale.
The Whonnock Weavers and Spinners Display is always colourful and dynamic.
Colourful Skeins of Handspun Yarn, Adorable Figures, and Racks of Rich and Textured Scarves punctuate the 33rd Annual Open House. The ever popular hat display is a great place to find the perfect topper.
